State Representative
Cheri Jahn of Wheat Ridge has been a community activist and
advocate serving her community for many years. As a Small Business
owner and a single mother of three, she still manages to dedicate
countless hours volunteering for the causes she believes in.
Cheri
devotes her time to the Victim Advocates Services of several police
departments, helping crime victims, often responding to calls in the
middle of the night. She volunteers for a local high school's accountability
committee. She is dedicated to standing up for the needs of our most
vulnerable citizens, including nursing home residents and the mentally
ill.
As the proprietor
of Colorado Housekeeping Services, Cheri has special
insight into how laws, regulations and the economy affect small business.
As a State Representative,
Cheri is an effective legislator who sponsors common
sense laws concerning public health and safety. She is committed to
quality of life issues. Cheri works very hard to
represent all the residents of her district and across the state.
Much of her legislation is devoted to protecting Senior Citizens,
Consumers, and Children. This year, she passed all 7 of her bills.
Her meth-lab bill allows district attorneys to charge meth-making
parents in civil court, making it easier to remove children from meth-lab
homes.
Representative
Jahn believes in lifelong learning and educational opportunity.
She recently received her Paralegal Degree from the Community College
of Denver and plans to use her skills to help make our Justice System
more responsive and accessible to the citizens it serves.
In everything that Cheri
Jahn does it is apparent that she will always be the voice
of the vulnerable and the defender of the defenseless, because she
believes that there is never a wrong time to do the right thing.
